Mariana grew up in the Pacific Northwest, hiking and climbing several of the Northwest's highest peaks, such as Mt. Rainier, Mt. Baker, Mt. Olympus and countless other lesser known peaks. She's been a rock and alpine climbing instructor, a Level I Ski Instructor, and completed several triathlons, including a half-ironman.
Several years ago, she was training for the Seattle To Portland (STP) Bicycle Ride when she was struck by a car on her bike. The injuries led to her no longer being able to pursue her love of mountaineering and long distance cycling. Struggling with hip mobility from the accident, a friend suggested she try bellydance. Through bellydance she found community and her passion for teaching dance and group fitness.
She's since become a certified Les Mills instructor in Tone™, BodyFlow™ and BodyPump™ teaching classes several times a week throughout several Eastside area fitness facilities.
She's also a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and in 2020 she started her journey to become a Certified Balanced Body™ Pilates Mat instructor.
